WaarborgHolland has been appointed as an assay office by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy.
A reliable partnerWaarborgHolland is an independent administrative body, designated by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy and charged with carrying out the Dutch Hallmarking Act (Waarborgwet). This act requires precious metal items – such as a gold ring – to carry a hallmark.
We test whether the item really is made of precious metal and whether its fineness is high enough to meet the Dutch standards. If it is, we stamp or laser our hallmark into it. So when you buy a gold ring, for example, and it carries our hallmark, you have the guarantee that the ring really is made of gold. Which is reassuring.
Besides carrying out the Hallmarking Act and applying hallmarks, WaarborgHolland provides other services too. For private individuals and businesses alike, we can determine which (precious) metal an item is made of. We also engrave all kinds of images, logos, text and other details using advanced laser equipment.
